Judgmental
-

In general, people are very judgmental of one another, taking moral highroads on others and practicing propagation of ethics. Over all and on some levels this is acceptable.
-

People in authority should hold us to a standard of excellence in regards to behavior and fair play to our fellow man. However, there should always be a form of humility when placed in a position of judgment, regardless if its your job or merely your opinion. So many of us judge like we have never done a bad thing in our lives. Even when helping or assisting an individual, approach them with serious but kind sentiments or advice. God willing, this will help them to "hear" you. Criticizing harshly only drives people away or pushes them closer to the possible negativity. Always keep sentiments like this in mind when confronted with this issue "Those who live in glass houses, shouldn't throw stones".
-

The most common cure to this mentality is simply "Practice what you preach" period. Ultimately this makes us civilized.

Great representation. Just to explore this issue of "judgement" and how it prevents most from appreciating and embracing diversity and differences, it requires an indepth and honest assessment of how we apply our ideas of "right and wrong." Unfortunately from the standpoint of how our own ideas and understanding is "right" and everyone else is "wrong" or probably "less than right." Being open and appreciative of everyone and their diversity affords a wealth of opportunity to learn that there are many perspectives and all worthy of consideration. Humanity is One! Allah says that he has made us in tribes and nations, to recognize and know one another and not despise one another. If he had wanted us all to be the same, he would have made it so. That would have been so boring.....Study creation and look at its colors, smells, structures, plants, nature, etc. The human family with their wonderful colors, languages, religions, beliefs, cultures, i.e. foods, clothes and expressions. Absolutely amazing and awesome! Thank you Rahman for a wonderful and stimulating topic and opening up this dialogue! Love Umme (Mother)
