Image and Representation

-

The World is a very visual place. We are judged on how we look, the car we drive, where we live, and the clothes on our back.

-

Status Symbols are a way of life in our society and it gives the physical impression of how we exist in comparison to our colleagues
and others around us.

-

Now, don’t misunderstand me, there is absolutely nothing wrong with nice things and living well. However, Intentions and Actions are the
Representation of how an individual carries themselves and that should be the means by which they are measured.

Learn to learn, learn to love, learn to live, learn to respect...RAHMAN S.

ASA,
this section ties into what the Imam spoke about today. This Friday we remembered the Night Journey and the Ascension of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. The Imam commented that during the Prophet's SAW Ascension he noticed that the majority of the inhabitants in paradise were those who were lived modestly, who gave to charity and who were among the poor. It is our intentions and our actions that directly affect how we are perceived by others. But on a higher level, we are judged by Allah wa ta ala by our intentions first and then our actions. I really enjoyed all of what you have written in this section. The piece on friendship was truly inspiring as well. My Salaam
