Uplifting the mental state of our children.
Parents normally have the best intentions for their children, especially when it comes to educating them. We want them to have every possible advantage so that life will present fruitful avenues for them.
Apart of ensuring healthy environments for learning, we as parents, providers, and educators must make encouragement a recipe in the mixture. I don’t think “praise” is a bad thing when trying to uplift a child while attempting to teach him or her. Make them feel special and that learning is apart of being young.
We as Adults must work toward and insist that the learning environment is stress free from outside influences. The learning process should be about calm interaction and positive exchange. Again, Encouragement should supersede criticism. Of course, mistakes and misunderstandings will occur, but we handle it with tact and benevolence. Don’t beat down a child before they have a chance to succeed.
And most importantly, Love is the greatest tool in the goal to best prepare our children. You have to love them and love the teaching process to effectively convoy your intention. Remember to uplift them mentally and emotionally. They will learn.
