Our Most Precious Organization

Family in the dictionary is defined as parents and their children, considered as a group, whether dwelling together or not; any group of persons closely related by blood, as parents, children, uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Now this is a good and accurate meaning of the term however family goes much deeper than just biology. Blood and genes does make up the physical aspects of connection when one thinks of the institution of family. The chief component is time and relationships. Being family is more than blood, it’s a bond. It’s that emotional and yes spiritual bridge between individuals that creates brother and sisterhood. Of course a parent and child are joined and linked by DNA physically but the learning, sharing, experiences and love makes the true connection.

In having such a relationship and overall feeling of belonging is the true and meaningful definition of family. When one understands and appreciates this dynamic, it is ultimately realized that this is a blessing. One that should not be sat side due to foolishness of any kind.

Being apart of a family also means that an individual and his family name is immortalized. Your presence and seed goes on and on. That in itself is deep and should be something that is recognized and thanked for daily. Think of the love you have for your parents, the love you have for your children, the love you have for your significant other. Imagine the oneness when you are together with your family under good circumstances. There is absolutely nothing like it. Blessed is he/she who has family.
