Difficult People and Situations

Unfortunately life is not always a bed of roses. Not even for those with wealth and privilege. Have you read the tabloids today?

There will always be some form of obstacle that we have to overcome. It’s apart of the Human Experience. What we must all learn is to be less emotional and more objective in our perceptions. Of course this is not easy. It takes mental and spiritual work. What I am coming to learn and appreciate is that sometimes the old statement is true “Perception is sometimes bigger than reality”.

Circumstance can only cripple or curtail us if we allow it. Let’s take the example of receiving some disappointing news; now in most cases, you can choose to put it aside temporarily until you can deal with it properly. Many of us take the negative route and an entire day is blown or lost based on attitude. In doing so, you have given some outside force power over your life. Think about that for a second.

Something or someone (not friend or family), or possibly some circumstance (that you will never again deal with in your lifetime), now has control over your behavior and emotions. Especially in this day and time, you have no idea where this journey will take you…positively or negatively.
